Much of the equipment that comprises the Full Eye Examination for adults is unfortunately not mobile.

This includes the slit lamp biomicroscope, the OptosDaytona laser scanning camera, the Zeiss Cirrus HD-OCT, the Zeiss i-Profiler Aberrometer and the Humphrey Visual Field test. For this reason we strongly recommend that wherever possible the eye examination takes place at the practice.

The practice fully complies with the Disability Discrimination Acts of 1995 and 2005 as well as the BS8300 which deals with access to buildings and their design. There is a fully functioning wheelchair ramp which gives access to the first floor. When booking an appointment please specify the need to be seen in one of the downstairs consulting rooms.

If attending the practice is not a viable option, our Geriatric and Low Vision Specialist, Mr Salasnik, will be happy to provide a private domiciliary service where the main aspects of the eye examination can be carried out in the comfort of the patient’s own home. If new spectacles are required, the patient may choose from a selection available in our mobile display and the completed glazed pair will be delivered and fitted by one of our staff.
